Paul Perrone | Founder & CEO

Paul Perrone is founder and CEO of Perrone Robotics. He is the inventor of the MAX general-purpose robotics software platform. He founded and led the company’s R&D efforts for fielding and evolving MAX in commercial deployments and is now leading the company’s effort to commercialize MAX for widespread adoption. Paul led a 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge team, 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge team, and imbued rocker Neil Young’s extended range electric vehicle LincVolt with autonomy. Commercial efforts led by Paul have included autonomous ground and air vehicle, and vehicle/people perception applications. He was the principal behind the company’s development of robotic platforms for testing advanced driver assistance systems and automated vehicles for the likes of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Community efforts include chairmanship of the SAE On Road Autonomous Vehicle Standards Committee. On top of his 15+ years autonomous vehicle experience and 22+ years total industry experience, Paul is also a published author and distinguished public speaker. 


Greg Scharer | COO

Greg Scharer is Chief Operating Officer of Perrone Robotics. He is a serial entrepreneur having started seven companies over the course of his 20+year career. Greg is a mechanical engineer by education with experience in many industries including biotech, electronics, distribution, manufacturing, retail, private equity, and venture capital. Prior to joining Perrone Robotics, Greg most recently worked as a consultant for Microsoft in their B2B Store Unit and for Merck KGaA leading an integration team responsible for aspects of the Millipore and Sigma-Aldrich acquisitions.

Dave Hofert | CMO

Dave Hofert is the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales for Perrone Robotics, Inc.  He has held software development and management roles as well as Marketing and Marketing management roles at Sun Microsystems, Fidelity Investments, Nokia, and Oracle. Dave earned his Executive MBA from Boston University in 2000. In 2005 Dave became involved with Perrone Robotics when he helped organize funding for PRI to participate in both DARPA Grand Challenges and several JavaOne conference keynotes. Most recently, Dave worked within the Java Embedded Sales organization at Oracle where he was the Sr. Director of Business Development for IoT.  There he developed IoT and sales strategies and managed a world-wide business development team.


Michael Raschid | CLO

Michael Raschid is Chief Legal Officer of Perrone Robotics.  He has extensive experience with technology licensing, intellectual property and other strategic commercial matters engaged in by technology companies.  In his career spanning over 25+ years, he has represented both private and public technology companies, as well as some of Silicon Valley's leading venture capital investors.  Prior to joining Perrone Robotics, Mike was a partner at a leading Washington, DC firm, and a leading Silicon Valley law firm where he headed the technology transactions practice in its Northern Virginia office.
